Standardized Testing

Many parents consider testing their home school student at the end of the year to determine progress and grade placement.

Test results are for the parent's use and it is your decision if you will share those results with the school board.  I administer the Woodcock-Johnson Tests of Achievement IV for individual students. This test may be given to individuals from ages 4 to 90 and generally takes 3 hours to administer.  I also administer tests for groups using the Iowa Test of Basic Skills and the Stanford Achievement test. They may be given for grades 2 through 12 and I recommend they be taken in grades 3 through 8. They typically take two consecutive mornings to complete testing.  See calendar for current group testing dates. I will be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding testing.
